Listening to your body deeply

An internal trigger is usually what helps you find perspective in your outer life, and to start listening to your body. My idea to start listening to my body came from a constant niggle in my lower back. I realized it was carrying unnecessary stress. I understand our body is an extremely intelligent system on its own.

Having the capability of listening to your body intelligence

This helps you have alignment with physical body and your internal world. IQ and today, even EQ (emotional intelligence), is quite common. However, most of us suffer from BQ (Body intelligence, and yes, that’s a term :)). Having a balanced BQ helps you attend to the most basic needs of the body: sufficient rest, movement, and good food, meet smarter decisions, and create intelligent thinking.

Your life can be much deeper when you start listening to your body

Your body can act as a source of inspiration to do great things. We are rational beings and make stories around to things that happen to us. We create core-beliefs that usually limit us. Listening to your body will give you a new paradigm of programming (emotional, psychological, mental information) in our cellular physical body.

When you start listening to your body, your body allows you to be vulnerable

That feeling of lightness, fluidity and finding flow is all about alignment. Something that happens in our life stays in our body. When you feel stiff shoulders, spine or back, you are actually attuned to emotions (energy in motion) and stories from your past. Having these suppressed vibrations released comes from the body – making you heal on a deep spiritual level.

Start listening deeply with your body with these three simple techniques:

  1. Ask which body part is holding you back?  Start saying loving things about the part of your body that you have been judging. You will begin to have more freedom. Create loving thoughts, kind words, and positive stories about your body part.
  2. Deep Body Breath-work: Completing a full breath cycle involves your whole body—your chest, belly, back, and mind. It takes effort to coordinate all elements of the breath, even though the simple process seems effortless. When I practice Mindfulness meditation, it helps me connect with each part of my body. Relaxation and a check-in with any tension in any part of my body promote deep awareness.
  3. Movement is something that can align you internally and find balance, purpose and  feel good with your body. In addition, this is something that is helping me with my body connection the most. There are tons of movements that you can perform – yoga, dance, sports are some of them. Understanding how to listen to your body during movement is vital. I am following Strength Side, a powerful YouTube channel to help you start with a strong connection with your body.
